We work Monday through Friday and Sunday, and we close on Saturday instead. Almost every appliance shop in the Valley is shut on Sunday, which is exactly when the refrigerator picks its moment. Same 7:00 to 19:00 hours, same prices as any weekday.
Appliances do not fail more often on Sunday. People simply notice on Sunday, because that is when the laundry gets done, the big cook happens, and somebody finally opens the garage freezer. By Sunday afternoon a warm refrigerator has become a real problem with a real deadline, and most repair shops in the Valley closed on Friday evening and do not answer again until Monday.
Note the shape of that. We are closed Saturday and open Sunday, which is the opposite of the industry. It is deliberate, and it is why a lot of our Sunday calls come from people who have already phoned four other numbers that morning.
Same as any other day. There is no weekend surcharge, because charging extra for being open on the day you are needed is a strange way to run a service business.
