Two Encinos, two kinds of call

South of Ventura Boulevard, into the hills, the kitchens are typically custom: built-in refrigeration, professional ranges, integrated dishwashers behind cabinet panels. These are the units that most companies decline over the phone because the panels come off in a specific order and the error codes need to be read rather than guessed at.

North of the boulevard the stock is denser and older, with a lot of condos and apartments, stacked laundry in closets and compact dishwashers. Different appliances, different faults, and building rules about water shut-off that we plan for in advance rather than discovering at the door.

Summer load

Encino runs hot from June through September, and refrigeration feels it. A built-in unit with no clearance above the condenser and five years of dust on the condenser coils will hold temperature fine in March and fail in August. Most of our summer calls here start there.
